Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - Pre-Course Instructions
Thank you for registering for the Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). We look forward to meeting you at your upcoming course.
This edition of the TNCC course has two components that can be completed before you attend the course. Please do your best to ensure that you complete these components in order to maximize your learning at the in-person sessions.
The online modules replicate some of the chapters in the textbook. If you do not enjoy online learning or have difficulties with them, reading the chapters in the book will deliver the same content.
Pre-Course Activity #1 – On-Line Modules
There are four online modules that are recommended to be completed before the course. The instructions from ENA are included below. If you have issues with the online module portion, please email: email@example.com - we have no control over the modules or the learning platform.
Login to the ENA Website (not the same userID as your prn Education one) or Create an Account.
Once you create your userID and login you can add the TNCC course to your Shopping Cart.
Go to the Checkout Screen - you will see a cost of $49.99USD for the course - DO NOT PAY THIS!
In the discount code section enter the discount code from the email you received that got you to this page.
Click on "Apply" once you have entered the code. The cost should change to $0
You can then proceed to check-out.
After this process, you can click on "Go To Your Online Courses" and will be taken to the ENA E-Learning Centre.
If you have any issues with the registration process or learning platform, contact firstname.lastname@example.org - do not contact us, this system is out of our control and will only delay your assistance.
Should you log out and return, you can access the online modules from the same location on the ENA web site. You will use the username (email address) and password created when you first logged in.
You can log out of the online modules and return to them as often as you need to.
Pre-Course Activity #2 – Printed Textbook
You will be mailed a printed manual or will receive one from your hospital educator / coordinator approximately one month before the course. It is important that you read the manual before attending the course. Important information will be reviewed throughout the in-person sessions; however, tested content may not all be covered in the sessions.
Some students find it helpful to highlight important concepts in the manual. They then will bring a different coloured highlighter to the in-person sessions and highlight what is covered in the lectures, as this is likely critical content.
If you do not receive a manual or have questions about the manual, please contact us.
Where is my course?
Go to the "Your Course Location" link in the menu bar above. Occasionally locations are not added until a week before the course so do not worry if your course location is not there yet!
If you have any questions about the course before the in-person sessions, please do not hesitate to contact us at email@example.com
